Bel Bare is an Australian publisher, writer, and designer, and the founder of Fauun. Established in 2020, Fauun is a boutique imprint dedicated to restoring and reintroducing significant works of mysticism, folklore, esotericism, and uncanny literature for contemporary readers.Bel’s background spans decades in creative direction and visual communication. At Fauun, she brings that design discipline to publishing: producing editions shaped for long-form reading, typographic clarity, and lasting shelf-life. Her work often involves sourcing obscure or out-of-print texts, preparing clean reading editions, and developing a coherent visual and editorial framework across the catalogue.Fauun’s list includes both widely loved classics and lesser-known discoveries. Each title is curated for depth, atmosphere, and cultural significance, then redesigned into a format that is accessible and collectible—without losing the spirit of the original work.Bel’s research interests include symbolism, visual culture, and the ways ideas travel through story, ritual, and image over time.
